Singing gives people joy, a sense of calmness and community, and even fuels the soul. It is hard to find a balance in life and sometimes our own happiness or activities that help us to recharge are the first things to go. We settle into our daily routines and can feel a lack of creativity that we once felt. Community Choir of Arizona is dedicated to making it easier to say “yes” to singing and helping you rediscover the joy of making music.
The Community Choir of Arizona is directed by Smith Graham, an Arizona native. Smith has established a name for himself as a professional musician in the East Valley for over 15 years. He received his Bachelors of Music Education from Northern Arizona University, taught Choir, Guitar, and Drama in Chandler and Scottsdale. He has sung with many choirs around Arizona including the Phoenix Chorale, Sedona Academy of Chamber Singers, Sonoran Desert Chorale, and North Valley Chorale. In the summers, he has had the privilege of being the Assistant Music Director at the Arizona Magic of Music & Dance in Paradise Valley. Smith is currently the music director at Mission del Sol Presbyterian Church in Tempe where he leads the adult and bell choirs.
The Community Choir of Arizona rehearses and performs at Mission del Sol Presbyterian Church in Tempe at the crossroads of Warner and McClintock. The church is easily accessible from anywhere in Maricopa County, especially Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Ahwatukee, and Phoenix.
